so that’s DotA

As far as online games go nowadays, this is pretty much old news. I actually think I might be the last to find out how cool this game is! And it’s apparently called DotA.

See, I play a lot of Warcraft: Frozen Throne. You know, just the usual desktop game battling with the computer set on “easy” mode with the aid of cheats like greedisgood and iseedeadpeople. So amateur and pathetic, right? Then, my wife’s cousins came for a visit. Before long, I saw them playing with the “campaigns” part of Warcraft, which I never tried because it looks rather complicated. I asked what it’s about and right there and then was “educated” of the ins and outs of campaigns. The next day, they were playing the same game, but it looks different. It was DotA. And I have DotA on my laptop!

I’m hooked. Addicted, really. In the same way that many people have taken “farming” in Farm Town, I’m battling scourges in DotA. For the past few days, in addition to searching for the best fat burners, I’ve been googling guides and walkthroughs for my “hero” of choice, Razor, The Lightning Revenant.

And you know what? It’s a freaking bummer that this office work of mine hugely interferes with my game time!
