no more rice
December 15, 2009I’ve had this persistent dry cough for more than three days. It got so bad at night that I couldn’t sleep anymore. So Riza accompanied me to a doctor’s clinic yesterday to have it checked. But getting me the correct meds for my cough wasn’t enough.
The doctor was so thorough that he also checked my BP, which was bordering hypertension, and advised me to eat more healthy. Good thing I’ve stopped drinking and never really smoked. He also noticed how “heavy” I was. And I did get advise to eat more healthy (more fruits and beggies) and limit my rice intake. I guess I’ll be needing that weight loss product now.
Starting today, no rice for breakfast. And no more fatty and salty food. I wonder how long I’ll last.
greatest husband
December 5, 2009I think I should give myself a pat on the back because despite that really, really tempting idea of staying all warm and cozy in bed this freezing morning, dreaming of orlando vacations, I had the will power to shower and show up for work. For a second there, I felt like I must be the greatest husband in the world. But the cold shower shocked some sense in me, so that moment is over.
My wife Riza on the other hand had no work today, but she decided to join me and start her day early.
Since we’re basically done buying gifts for friends and family, we’ll be doing some shopping for ourselves later this afternoon.
I hope we get good deals.
sloooow day
December 4, 2009You can’t deny it. Christmas is really here.
My wife Riza and I woke up to one crisp and freezing morning! She wanted to get up and ready for work but I held her tight and begged for ten more minutes. Her workload here at the office is particularly light, as with most of the other projects, but mine has turned back to its normal load, which pretty much means that I have overtime work everyday and spend every Saturday in front of my industrial computer. So long weekends.
And I don’t know if it’s the weather or something but the people here at the office are so relaxed that it makes me so lethargic.
Coffee break anyone?
Kumareng Grace
December 2, 2009Everybody loves free stuff. Whether it’s a single shoe or some Mopar parts, as long as it’s free, you can bet that somebody’s going to take it.
So just in case you’re in for some free stuff, my friend Kumareng Grace has a post-birthday, pre-Christmas, and pre-2nd-year blogging anniversary contest giveaway. Mouthful reason, I know. But the bottom line, she’s giving away a Fossil watch, a handmade bag she bought from one of her travels, and a Still by J Lo perfume. Mayaman!
Head on over to her site for the contest mechanics. I know I’ll join.
