Bukit Bintang
May 15, 2010One more thing not to miss while in Kuala Lumpur is an area called Bukit Bintang. From the KL Tower, it is but a short taxi ride away, less than 10 minutes in fact. We paid RM10, which was actually too much. I think the fair amount could be between RM5 to RM7. Anyway, since there’s 4 of us, it isn’t that much.
While we all had a great time at the Central Market, I couldn’t say the same for Bukit Bintang.
You see, Bukit Bintang is like Divisoria. It’s a street filled with malls and shops, and we actually don’t know where to start.
We went into one of the malls and started looking around. And when the girls saw another shoe store that they frequent in Suria KLCC, they went in again. I spent my alone time touring the place. This mall is huge. And let me just say that like Divisoria, this place probably has everything, from shoes and clothes to the best wrinkle remover to home appliances. The particular mall that we went into was a bit old but it is filled with shops. There’s very little space left for people to walk through.
If you’re into hunting bargains, then I’d recommend this place. But since we’re much more into cultural shops and souvenirs, we went back to Central Market instead to finish some last minute shopping before our evening flight.
